Tobias Fagrell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Olof Klintæus scored 0-2 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobias Fagrell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olof Klintæus scored 0-3 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobias Fagrell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Olof Klintæus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobias Fagrell was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. When Birger Bålström came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Vejbystrand IFK fans jumped to their feet. In the 26thth minute of the game Olof Klintæus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Busby Babes's Tobias Fagrell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Busby Babes defense, Birger Bålström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobias Fagrell. The Busby Babes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Fagrell should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Olof Klintæus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobias Fagrell was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Tobias Fagrell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birger Bålström's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute of the match Vejbystrand IFK got a corner. Busby Babes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Patrik Hafström ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Vejbystrand IFK's corner Patrik Hafström fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tobias Fagrell quite easily take care of the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Busby Babes's goal looked a bit too open when Birger Bålström came free, but Tobias Fagrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Greger Tinglöf during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Greger Tinglöf hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olof Klintæus to strike the kick off in the second half. Tobias Fagrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Klintæus, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Leif Lundblad notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Busby Babes's Tobias Fagrell. Tobias Fagrell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olof Klintæus couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Lundblad in the 64th minute of play forced Busby Babes's goalkeeper Tobias Fagrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Olof Klintæus put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Tobias Fagrell. Busby Babes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Olof Klintæus scored to the left of an out of position Tobias Fagrell, making the score, 0-9. 73 minutes into the match, Olof Klintæus dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tobias Fagrell, 0-10. In the 79th minute, Olof Klintæus fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Olof Klintæus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tobias Fagrell having to make a save. Tobias Fagrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Klintæus in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Busby Babes defense, Leif Lundblad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobias Fagrell. The Busby Babes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Fagrell should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Vejbystrand IFK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Busby Babes.
