The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Viggo Simonsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joacim Ahlfors in the 5th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Blä FF's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Hansson came free, but Vilhelm Arenstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Viggo Simonsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joacim Ahlfors, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 18th play minutes Dan Hansson shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Vilhelm Arenstedt and just under the crossbar into goal. 33 minutes into the match, Blä FF's goal looked a bit too open when Orvar Lundblad came free, but Vilhelm Arenstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Bälinge were awarded a corner. Dan Jakobsson went to the cornerflag to take it. Viggo Simonsson came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Blä FF's Joacim Ahlfors. But to his dismay, Joacim Ahlfors quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 40th minute Dan Hansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilhelm Arenstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Blä FF's Joacim Ahlfors sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Viggo Simonsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Egil Vollander kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Dan Hansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vilhelm Arenstedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dan Hansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Blä FF's Vilhelm Arenstedt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Blä FF from getting a goal against them. 67 minutes into the match, Joacim Ahlfors notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Bälinge's Viggo Simonsson. Viggo Simonsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dan Hansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vilhelm Arenstedt having to make a save. 70 minutes into the match, Blä FF's goalkeeper Vilhelm Arenstedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Hansson. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Blä FF's goalkeeper Vilhelm Arenstedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Blä FF's Vilhelm Arenstedt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Blä FF from getting a goal against them. Joacim Ahlfors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Viggo Simonsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Åke Soned kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After 86 played minutes, Blä FF's Erland Magnusson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Viggo Simonsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Blä FF reached it. Vilhelm Arenstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Hansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Blä FF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bälinge had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
