The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Edward Tönnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the game, Sverker Vacker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sumpan FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hyssna IF the free kick. In the 11th minute, Sumpan FC's Kurt Bergendahl dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 13 played minutes Hyssna IF got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Samuelsson. Hyssna IF's Harry Vase played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helge Thedin in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hyssna IF's Nils-Emil Lindgren got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute, Kurt Bergendahl left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sumpan FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 28 played minutes Sumpan FC got a freekick which was hit by Kutalp Arkın. Hyssna IF were furious when Harry Rydberg was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 34th minute Sven-Oskar Spets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agne Målare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agne Målare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Oskar Spets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viggo Forsberg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hyssna IF's zone, Sverker Vacker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Vase came out of the goal and Sverker Vacker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven-Oskar Spets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agne Målare having to interfere. The supporters of Sumpan FC booed when Hyssna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Pålsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mats Fredriksson scored 4-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harry Vase, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kurt Bergendahl was the one to do the kick off. Sven-Oskar Spets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agne Målare having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Hyssna IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Tönnberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute Karl-Michael Hägert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Vase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nils-Emil Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils-Emil Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th match minute, Sumpan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Helström to maneuver through the defense. Nils-Emil Lindgren hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Dag Asserlind struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Agne Målare didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hyssna IF. Agne Målare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Emil Lindgren in the 78th minute of the match. Sumpan FC's Helge Thedin got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sumpan FC booed when Hyssna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Pålsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sumpan FC's Kurt Bergendahl got a free kick in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Kurt Bergendahl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harry Vase. Hyssna IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurt Bergendahl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Dag Asserlind hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Sumpan FC were the better team. Sumpan FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
