Spectators: 7638 (Terracing: 5777, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 90) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dan Hansson started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Hansson got free with Sverker Hammarberg in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 17 minutes Bälinge's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stig Örtlund who took care of the corner kick. After 18 minutes of play, Bälinge's Leif Ekelund made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sverker Hammarberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Viggo Simonsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Caspersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orvar Lundblad kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sigvard Njurenius in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viggo Simonsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leif Ekelund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ola Käcker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viggo Simonsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Dan Hansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sverker Hammarberg having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Bälinge's Dan Jakobsson got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 44 played minutes Bälinge got a freekick which was hit by Staffan Söderström. After having played for 45 minutes, Stig Örtlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig Örtlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Bälinge getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Börje Låsberg hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Bälinge's Orvar Lundblad got a free kick in the 67th minute. Dan Hansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th match minute, Bälinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Beckström to maneuver through the defense. Sverker Hammarberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orvar Lundblad in the 80th minute of the match. Börje Låsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Staffan Söderström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Sverker Hammarberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
