Spectators: 7766 (Terracing: 5826, Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 154) Leonard Kjellqvist started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Lenberg in the 6th minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper Arvid Uggla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AIK's Alfredo Kimetz got a free kick in the 8th minute. Peter Shilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Kjellqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Daniel Blom fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Storfors AIK's protests and gave Daniel Blom a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Storfors AIK got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Blom. After 19 played minutes Storfors AIK got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Bäckman. Lucas Almkvist scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peter Shilton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jim Beneth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jim Beneth made a kick off. Arvid Uggla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Lenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute Jim Beneth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvid Uggla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AIK's Leonard Kjellqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 played minutes Storfors AIK got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Blom. In the 60th minute AIK were awarded a corner. Hubert Vesterberg went to the cornerflag to take it. Hubert Vesterberg made a great header on AIK's corner, it was just that Storfors AIK's Peter Shilton managed to reach the ball for a save. Leonard Kjellqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Shilton having to interfere. David Bergman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Almkvist in the 71st minute of play forced Storfors AIK's goalkeeper Peter Shilton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Henry Alströmer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Peter Shilton. That made the score 0-3 in the 76 minute of play. If Lucas Almkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Storfors AIK getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. David Bergman hit a great ball. Henry Alströmer struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Peter Shilton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AIK.
