Alsterbro's Sven Josefsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Linqvist in the 19th minute of play. When Mauricio Rico came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Linde BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Rico couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, Mauricio Rico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Alsterbro's zone, Dick Linqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Josefsson came out of the goal and Dick Linqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the game, Dick Linqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Sven Josefsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dick Linqvist's late challenge caught a Alsterbro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dick Linqvist helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Alsterbro booed when Linde BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dick Linqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dick Linqvist scored 0-4 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven Josefsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute, Mauricio Rico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linde BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Malte Överman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juraj Jakubov in the 48th minute. After the first half Linde BK were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The tension between the Linde BK and the Alsterbro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Linde BK's Dick Linqvist in the 56th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Sven Josefsson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Alsterbro through an amazing save. Mats Vase ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sven Josefsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Rico in the 62nd minute.
