After 14 played minutes FC Östra Värlinge got a freekick which was hit by Alfons Abrahamsson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elliot Termander got free with Paul Ahlbom in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Paul Ahlbom managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when AFC Eskilstuna's Elliot Termander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 22nd minute, AFC Eskilstuna's Dan Njurenius dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Elliot Termander sped through FC Östra Värlinge's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paul Ahlbom. Ture Valler hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the match Christopher Nilsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lars Blom showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elliot Termander got free with Paul Ahlbom in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dan Njurenius received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paul Ahlbom came out and tried to block the shot, but Dan Njurenius slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 32nd minute. 35 minutes into the game, Evert Lundberg threw the ball into play from the sideline. AFC Eskilstuna's Sigvard Mellbad quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Lundberg in the 40th minute of play forced AFC Eskilstuna's goalkeeper Lars Blom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Magne Lindström hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, one of FC Östra Värlinge:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Östra Värlinge. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, AFC Eskilstuna's Greger Björling got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Paul Ahlbom. Paul Ahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Njurenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The wind increased when Elliot Termander made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Östra Värlinge booed when AFC Eskilstuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Greger Björling didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, FC Östra Värlinge's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Termander came free, but Paul Ahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Abrahamsson in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Evert Lundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66thth minute of the game Elliot Termander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Östra Värlinge's Paul Ahlbom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfons Abrahamsson got free with Lars Blom in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Sigvard Mellbad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Elliot Termander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Eskilstuna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elliot Termander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 80 minutes into the match, FC Östra Värlinge's goal looked a bit too open when Magne Lindström came free, but Paul Ahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, AFC Eskilstuna's Dan Njurenius nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Ahlbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidar Brummer in the 87th minute of play forced AFC Eskilstuna's goalkeeper Lars Blom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Östra Värlinge's goalkeeper Paul Ahlbom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the FC Östra Värlinge defense, Dan Njurenius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Ahlbom. The FC Östra Värlinge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Ahlbom should have stopped the shot. When Elliot Termander came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the AFC Eskilstuna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elliot Termander couldn't finish the play. Paul Ahlbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliot Termander in the 95th minute of play. FC Östra Värlinge's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
