Henån's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernt Josefsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Åke Linquist made a kick off. Christopher Lenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Stenkvist having to interfere. If Fred Matsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Henån's goalkeeper Eskil Stenkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th minute Karl-Åke Linquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eskil Stenkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Bernt Josefsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andres Cridland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Matsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fred Matsson in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andres Cridland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Fred Matsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils Andersson charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Henån's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
