Vitå's Stig-Åke Bennet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Nordkvist in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th minute of the match, Sten Brask tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stig-Åke Bennet saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 17th minute Fabian Fågel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Åke Bennet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Fågel in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stig-Åke Bennet saved Vitå from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Vitå's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Colin came free, but Stig-Åke Bennet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match Tranås BF got a corner. Vitå's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joachim Nordkvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Tranås BF's Joachim Nordkvist to fire away a dangerous shot which Stig-Åke Bennet despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Tranås BF booed when Vitå was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Tholsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig-Åke Bennet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torgny Bergfelt in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute of the match, Fabian Fågel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stig-Åke Bennet was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
