But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 周耀峰 couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Delmiro Sugar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eket IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmiro Sugar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waddah Yumin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Linus Stephansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 周耀峰, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Walter Billström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nikita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Linus Stephansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walter Billström went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 45th minute Walter Billström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linus Stephansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Bengt-Rune Brogren managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delmiro Sugar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Eket IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Greger Mickelsson came free, but Linus Stephansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Nikita's goal looked a bit too open when Delmiro Sugar came free, but Waddah Yumin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
