In the 13th minute Emanuel Măcrinici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Godholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saadettin Baybora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Hellström having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Măcrinici's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joachim Godholm was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Despite this Joachim Godholm quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Manfred Beck came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the A.C. GöstasHjältar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfred Beck couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Măcrinici in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joachim Godholm saved A.C. GöstasHjältar from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Lorenzo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, George Larsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronnie Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Beck in the 57th minute of play. In the 63rd of the match, Eric Blomqvist tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Joachim Godholm got in the way and made a wonderful save. FC Z were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after A.C. GöstasHjältar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karl-Oskar Kinell took the corner. The corner led FC Z's Karl-Oskar Kinell to fire away a dangerous shot which Joachim Godholm despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
