In the 5th minute, Hisingen IK's Jens-Erik Blomberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jens-Erik Blomberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hisingen IK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jens-Erik Blomberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Hisingen IK getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Bengt-Arne Wester hit a great ball. Henriksdalskajens SK's Eldad Te Vrede managed to work through Hisingen IK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Eldad Te Vrede dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 12th minute Sonic Supereko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Hisingen IK's Jarl Stålman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Holer Nolan. That made the score 1-1 after 13 minutes of play. 18 minutes into the game, Sonic Supereko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Einar Jernberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henry Roos made in the 25th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Markus Vik immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Vennerkvist in the 28th minute of play forced Henriksdalskajens SK's goalkeeper Holer Nolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernt Vennerkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Holer Nolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Henriksdalskajens SK's Sonic Supereko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Einar Jernberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Hisingen IK's goal looked a bit too open when Sonic Supereko came free, but Einar Jernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hisingen IK's goalkeeper Einar Jernberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gez Blackwater charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gez Blackwater the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th minute, Henriksdalskajens SK's Sonic Supereko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Einar Jernberg. Einar Jernberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 58thth minute of the game Sonic Supereko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hisingen IK's Einar Jernberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Henriksdalskajens SK got a corner. Hisingen IK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sakarias Linberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Henriksdalskajens SK's Gez Blackwater to a score. 1-4 in the 59th minute. Gez Blackwater kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Henry Roos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Hisingen IK's Einar Jernberg got control of the ball when Sonic Supereko tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Hisingen IK's goalkeeper Einar Jernberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sonic Supereko. Henriksdalskajens SK's Karl-Åke Söderquist was substituted for Sonic Supereko. A collision led to Hisingen IK getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Bertil Söderqwist hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eldad Te Vrede in the 80th minute of play forced Hisingen IK's goalkeeper Einar Jernberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Karl-Åke Söderquist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Einar Jernberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stig Gulliksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Åke Söderquist was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Henriksdalskajens SK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Karl-Åke Söderquist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Einar Jernberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Henriksdalskajens SK getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Gez Blackwater hit a great ball. When Bernt Vennerkvist came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Hisingen IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Vennerkvist couldn't finish the play.
