Edsbyns IF's Ingvar Norberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Edsbyns IF from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Agne Andersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Ekenberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingvar Norberg having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Edsbyns IF's zone, Jan Ekenberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingvar Norberg came out of the goal and Jan Ekenberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan Ekenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edsbyns IF's Ingvar Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Ekenberg in the 27th minute of play. If Ronaldinho De Assis Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Henry Alebäck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ingvar Norberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Mean Machine booed when Edsbyns IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agne Andersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mean Machine's Casper Kleen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho De Assis Moreira in the 40th minute of play. After 42 played minutes Mean Machine got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Berglund. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldinho De Assis Moreira in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Kleen saved Mean Machine from getting behind. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mean Machine's goalkeeper Casper Kleen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evert Haegg to make the kick off. Casper Kleen stood somewhat misplaced when Evert Haegg came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 54 minute. Casper Kleen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldinho De Assis Moreira went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Mean Machine's Rune Åhman was substituted for Folke Bergqvist. 64 minutes into the match, Mean Machine's Jan Ekenberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingvar Norberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ronaldinho De Assis Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 played minutes Mean Machine got a freekick which was hit by Rune Anselius. 71 minutes into the match, Mean Machine's goalkeeper Casper Kleen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evert Haegg. In the 72nd minute, Sven-Ove Kämpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
