In the 16th minute Dennis Eckegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Chuba Chubba Akpom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erland Örtlund to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 19 in the game by Dennis Eckegren from a close distance when the talented Mats Nordström managed to make a qualified save. Chuba Chubba Akpom's players were relieved. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bengt-Rune Wållander the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chuba Chubba Akpom protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bengt-Rune Wållander had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Chuba Chubba Akpom:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cornostrada BK:s goal. The goalkeeper, Mats Nordström, was totally fooled by Cornostrada BK's Rune Söderlund, who 32 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 35th minute Dennis Eckegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart Karlsson in the 38th minute of play forced Cornostrada BK's goalkeeper Carl Joensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Dennis Eckegren sped through Chuba Chubba Akpom's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mats Nordström. In the 71st minute, Philip Nyberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mats Nordström was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 76th minute Lars-Olav Skripchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chuba Chubba Akpom's Mats Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars-Olav Skripchenko in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chuba Chubba Akpom's goalkeeper Mats Nordström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
