Dorin Arsene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennart Låsberg in the 4th minute of the match. If Roland Dalman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Ove Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anders Myr in the 11th minute of play. Dorin Arsene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Emil Billvall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Erik Biörkman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Jan-Ove Berg made a huge save. If Roland Dalman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anders Myr might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan-Ove Berg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anders Myr ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, IF Hille's Jesper Häger got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Nyborgs FF's André Nordin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jan-Ove Berg. Jan-Ove Berg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 28 minutes into the game, Roland Dalman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dorin Arsene was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st play minute Karl-Erik Biörkman came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jan-Ove Berg. 2-2. 36 minutes into the game, Karl-Erik Biörkman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Jan-Ove Berg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Nordin in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Ove Berg saved IF Hille from getting behind. Nyborgs FF's Dorin Arsene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Emil Billvall in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Lennart Låsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorin Arsene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to IF Hille getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Nils-Emil Billvall hit a great ball. If Karl-Erik Biörkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

In the 54th match minute, Nyborgs FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Nordin to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute, Anders Myr left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nyborgs FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Lennart Låsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Jan-Ove Berg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Myr, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Jan-Ove Berg came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Nyborgs FF's Anders Myr. But to his dismay, Anders Myr quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. Bengt-Åke Karlsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the game, one of IF Hille:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Nyborgs FF. Karl-Erik Biörkman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jan-Ove Berg. 6-3. 90 minutes into the match, IF Hille's goal looked a bit too open when André Nordin came free, but Jan-Ove Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Karl-Erik Biörkman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nyborgs FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Erik Biörkman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Nyborgs FF's André Nordin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan-Ove Berg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-3. Karl-Erik Biörkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Jan-Ove Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nyborgs FF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of IF Hille for a fine match.
