In the 31st minute of the match, Johan Kilvik tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dorin Arsene saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dorin Arsene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Junior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zhuang Feng was the one to do the kick off. Claes Fransson hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 52 played minutes, Sunshine FC's Zhuang Feng shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dorin Arsene came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sunshine FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Junior in the 56th minute of play forced Nyborgs FF's goalkeeper Dorin Arsene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sunshine FC's goalkeeper Xu Wei Hai, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Seth Newby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sunshine FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
