After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Sten Hellkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balsam BOIS's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Hellkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rikard Wolff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Balsam BOIS's Sten Hellkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rikard Wolff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Söderman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stig Vedholm hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Paul Vallgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig Norberg in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Vallmark in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Vallgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Åshöjdens BK's Anders Snäll got a free kick in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Söderman in the 21st minute of play forced Åshöjdens BK's goalkeeper Rikard Wolff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute Åke Söderman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rikard Wolff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Åke Söderman in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rikard Wolff saved Åshöjdens BK from getting behind. Sten Hellkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Åshöjdens BK's John Giöck got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rikard Wolff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Hellkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Åke Söderman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig Norberg made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Hellkvist in the 60th minute of play forced Åshöjdens BK's goalkeeper Rikard Wolff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Åke Söderman came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Balsam BOIS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Åke Söderman couldn't finish the play. Balsam BOIS's Paul Vallgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Vallmark in the 66th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Åke Söderman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rikard Wolff, 0-1. Freddie Nyberg kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Balsam BOIS's Martin Wallander was substituted for Hans Eriksson. In the 74th match minute, Åshöjdens BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Nyberg to maneuver through the defense. Åshöjdens BK's Rikard Wolff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henning Hägglund in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Åshöjdens BK's goalkeeper Rikard Wolff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Åke Söderman. Rikard Wolff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henning Hägglund in the 80th minute of the match. Rikard Wolff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henning Hägglund's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Balsam BOIS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Albin Forsell in the 83rd minute. Henning Hägglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rikard Wolff having to interfere. Jimmie Ahlstedt charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimmie Ahlstedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jimmie Ahlstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Henning Hägglund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Åke Söderman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rikard Wolff having to interfere. In the 94th minute of the match, Henning Hägglund tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rikard Wolff saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 96 minutes into the match, Åshöjdens BK's goal looked a bit too open when Henning Hägglund came free, but Rikard Wolff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Åshöjdens BK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Balsam BOIS's performance. The match ended with a win for Balsam BOIS.
