Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Herman Ahlén started the match with the kick off. Dynamo Luleå's Ian Willig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greger Bogren in the 2nd minute of play. In the 3rd minute Carl Brandin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Willig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Avantgarde's Greger Bogren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ian Willig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Carl Brandin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Greger Bogren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute of the match Avantgarde got a corner. Dynamo Luleå's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gustav Mårtensson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Sven-Arne Salqvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dynamo Luleå's Ian Willig did a great save. In the 21st minute, Carl Brandin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian Willig was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 25 minutes into the match, Carl Brandin notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Dynamo Luleå's Ian Willig. Ian Willig was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Carl Brandin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bror Viberg got free with Roy Brolin in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Christian Lagerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carl Brandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian Willig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Brandin in the 38th minute of the match. Carl Brandin scored 0-5 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ian Willig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Dynamo Luleå's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Brandin came free, but Ian Willig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Greger Bogren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Willig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Dynamo Luleå's goal looked a bit too open when Greger Bogren came free, but Ian Willig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Karl-Ove Säfström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ian Willig. Dynamo Luleå's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Ove Säfström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. The Dynamo Luleå players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Avantgarde were winning 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carl Brandin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carl Brandin in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ian Willig, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 60 minutes into the match, Karl-Ove Säfström notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Dynamo Luleå's Ian Willig. Ian Willig was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carl Brandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Carl Brandin came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Avantgarde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Brandin couldn't finish the play. Ian Willig stood somewhat misplaced when Carl Brandin came free in front of goal and shot 0-10 to the left of him in the 81 minute. Carl Brandin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Greger Bogren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ian Willig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, one of Dynamo Luleå:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dynamo Luleå. Carl Brandin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Willig having to interfere. Carl Brandin scored 0-11 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ian Willig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Avantgarde's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
