In the 8th minute, Bangkok FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Karl-Ove Säfström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Carl Brandin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Adil Özerk when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 30 minutes into the game, Karl-Ove Säfström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Adil Özerk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Carl Brandin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mårten Julin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adil Özerk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute Avantgarde were awarded a corner. Gustav Mårtensson went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, Bangkok FC's Adil Özerk got control of the ball when Karl-Ove Säfström tried to sneak it across the goal line.
