Brandbergen Bears's Dennis Unesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Gustafsson in the 4th minute of play. Michael Bodin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jakob Fredriksson went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Michael Bodin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Björkman in the 11th minute of play. Michael Bodin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Erik Källberg in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Torsten Bålström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Bodin. AIK 1891's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torsten Bålström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After some careless play in the AIK 1891 defense, Jakob Fredriksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michael Bodin. The AIK 1891 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michael Bodin should have stopped the shot. Bengt Henriksson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. When Torsten Bålström came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Brandbergen Bears fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsten Bålström couldn't finish the play. Jens-Erik Källberg charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jens-Erik Källberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jens-Erik Källberg kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 29 minutes, Tim Gustafsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AIK 1891 and the Brandbergen Bears players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tim Gustafsson hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Jens-Erik Källberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Bodin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Erik Tunberg in the 35th minute of play forced AIK 1891's goalkeeper Michael Bodin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Per-Erik Tunberg took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michael Bodin. Michael Bodin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Michael Bodin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jakob Fredriksson's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Jens-Erik Källberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michael Bodin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. 46 minutes into the match, AIK 1891's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Erik Källberg came free, but Michael Bodin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Michael Bodin was a little too slow when Harald Frykberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-7. In the 55th minute, Per-Erik Tunberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Michael Bodin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Erik Tunberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Michael Bodin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Oskar Björkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Brandbergen Bears's Per-Erik Tunberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. After having played for 67 minutes, Jens-Erik Källberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brandbergen Bears's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Erik Källberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tim Gustafsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Unesson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brandbergen Bears's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emanuel Uter was slow to take the kick. During this time AIK 1891's players had a chance to rest. Tim Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Unesson having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jimmy Henriksson during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 75 minutes into the game, Brandbergen Bears's Jens-Erik Källberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
