Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stor Stakemann started the match with the kick off. Leonard Qvarnström hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Växjö fc's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Biörk came free, but Iwan Fafinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Växjö fc's Iwan Fafinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stor Stakemann in the 10th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Leonard Qvarnström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Magnus Skålberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Iwan Fafinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Olăroiu in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 played minutes Eda FF got a freekick which was hit by Börje Kleen. Magnus Skålberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Qvarnström in the 29th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carl Biörk in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iwan Fafinski saved Växjö fc from getting behind. Iwan Fafinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Biörk, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Leonard Qvarnström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Magnus Skålberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Qvarnström in the 38th minute of play. Iwan Fafinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Biörk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Carl Biörk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Fafinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iwan Fafinski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carl Biörk went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Leonard Qvarnström made the kick off in the second half. Iwan Fafinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Biörk in the 53rd minute of play. Eda FF were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Växjö fc's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Evert Eriksson took the corner. 57 minutes into the match, Eda FF's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Carey-Bertram came free, but Magnus Skålberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carl Biörk hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Magnus Skålberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Lano, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Växjö fc's Iwan Fafinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Biörk in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Åke Grönlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Lano in the 68th minute of play forced Eda FF's goalkeeper Magnus Skålberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iwan Fafinski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carl Biörk showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 71 minute of play. In the 74th minute, Stor Stakemann made a precise shot to the right of Iwan Fafinski. Växjö fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After 79 played minutes Växjö fc got a freekick which was hit by Nathan Le Dantec. Magnus Skålberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Lano in the 83rd minute of the match. Magnus Skålberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Lano in the 86th minute of play. Iwan Fafinski was a little too slow when Narcis Olăroiu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 1-4. 93 minutes into the match, Aurelio Lano notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Eda FF's Magnus Skålberg. Magnus Skålberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eda FF's Magnus Skålberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Qvarnström in the 96th minute of play. The Eda FF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Eda FF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
