Spectators: 7740 (Terracing: 5806, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 154) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Malte Nyberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. Vänersborg SC's Tord Alberg got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Palle Bødinni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tord Alberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canor Sans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Palle Bødinni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Behrn Arena IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Canor Sans was slow to take the kick. During this time Vänersborg SC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Canor Sans almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Behrn Arena IF's Palle Bødinni did a great save. The supporters of Behrn Arena IF booed when Vänersborg SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magne Drewitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the game Hubert Persson made a throw-in which Pedro Rosalio played forward. Behrn Arena IF's Palle Bødinni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Canor Sans in the 17th minute of play. Tord Alberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malte Nyberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Stewart Tongs when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 27 minutes, Malte Nyberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Behrn Arena IF and the Vänersborg SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Malte Nyberg hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Vänersborg SC's Stewart Tongs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Nyberg in the 29th minute of play. Palle Bødinni didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Vänersborg SC's Tord Alberg shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Hubert Persson made in the 33rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pedro Rosalio. A collision led to Behrn Arena IF getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Kurt Berg hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Rune Fågel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vänersborg SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rune Fågel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Palle Bødinni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jörgen Gadd fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vänersborg SC's protests and gave Jörgen Gadd a yellow card for diving instead. Jörgen Gadd hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Tord Alberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stewart Tongs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malte Nyberg in the 43rd minute of play. Tord Alberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Palle Bødinni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Vänersborg SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Örjan Magnusson to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Vänersborg SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rune Fågel to make the kick off. Vänersborg SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Canor Sans in the 53rd minute. Vänersborg SC's Rune Fågel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Palle Bødinni in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Palle Bødinni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tord Alberg in the 58th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Tord Alberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Palle Bødinni. Behrn Arena IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tord Alberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Palle Bødinni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tord Alberg in the 60th minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Vänersborg SC's Tord Alberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. The audience was convinced that Tord Alberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Palle Bødinni was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Rune Fågel might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Palle Bødinni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Fågel ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles-Henri Briat in the 76th minute of play forced Vänersborg SC's goalkeeper Stewart Tongs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Behrn Arena IF's goal looked a bit too open when Canor Sans came free, but Palle Bødinni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Hubert Persson in the 83rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vänersborg SC's Örjan Magnusson. The audience was convinced that Tord Alberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Palle Bødinni was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After 85 played minutes Vänersborg SC got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Gadd. Palle Bødinni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tord Alberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Stewart Tongs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenny Ekeroth in the 91st minute of play. Stewart Tongs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malte Nyberg in the 94th minute of the match. Kenny Ekeroth took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stewart Tongs. Stewart Tongs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Behrn Arena IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vänersborg SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
