After a defensive mix-up in Goteborg's zone, Jimmy Vesterberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johan Hellsing came out of the goal and Jimmy Vesterberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Malte Lundberg came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Nou Mercat Club de Futbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Malte Lundberg couldn't finish the play. Lars Uggla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Johan Hellsing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Bruhn in the 31st minute of play forced Goteborg's goalkeeper Johan Hellsing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Goteborg's Johan Hellsing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Goteborg from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the match, Goteborg's goalkeeper Johan Hellsing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven Bruhn. Nou Mercat Club de Futbol walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
