Eddie Sörman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvin Olsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fomac FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gylippus Galitsis was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Köln's players had a chance to rest. In the 16th minute FC Köln were awarded a corner. Gylippus Galitsis went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Gylippus Galitsis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erland Söderberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 22 minutes into the match, FC Köln's goal looked a bit too open when Eddie Sörman came free, but Edvin Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Fomac FK's goal looked a bit too open when Daidalos Rigatos came free, but Erland Söderberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Paraibano in the 25th minute of play forced FC Köln's goalkeeper Edvin Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th match minute, FC Köln was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Strömqvist to maneuver through the defense. Gylippus Galitsis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Eddie Sörman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Edvin Olsson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gylippus Galitsis in the 65th minute of play forced Fomac FK's goalkeeper Erland Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Köln players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
