The audience thought a goal was coming when Rikard Deckberg got free with Lawrence Sammut in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Bridgemill FC's Rikard Deckberg got a free kick in the 12th minute. Helge Björk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Alberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Lund in the 20th minute of play forced Bridgemill FC's goalkeeper Helge Björk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lawrence Sammut made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Rikard Deckberg sent off a good shot on target. Bridgemill FC's Tomas Ekeroth quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Christer Lundberg, made in the 25th minute of the game. Rikard Deckberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 27 minutes into the game, Rüdiger Lange recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lawrence Sammut. Rüdiger Lange showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Rikard Deckberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Lawrence Sammut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lawrence Sammut made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Rikard Deckberg sent off a good shot on target. Lawrence Sammut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Lilja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Tekie-Taka's goalkeeper Lawrence Sammut had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rikard Deckberg. In the 46th minute of the match, Ivan Dalström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lawrence Sammut saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 47th minute, Bridgemill FC's Ivan Dalström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lawrence Sammut. Lawrence Sammut yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Jakob Alberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Helge Björk when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Anders Berglund kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Ivan Dalström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Sammut having to interfere. Tekie-Taka's Lawrence Sammut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rüdiger Lange in the 77th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tekie-Taka's zone, Rüdiger Lange stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lawrence Sammut came out of the goal and Rüdiger Lange tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Ivan Dalström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lawrence Sammut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bridgemill FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Nordgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Dalström in the 99th minute of play forced Tekie-Taka's goalkeeper Lawrence Sammut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bridgemill FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
