Spectators: 7658 (Terracing: 5744, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gylippus Galitsis took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Vallmark in the 4th minute of play forced Trabzonspor FF's goalkeeper Ulf Utter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Utter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daidalos Rigatos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gylippus Galitsis in the 7th minute of play forced Trabzonspor FF's goalkeeper Ulf Utter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Utter came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Köln's Daidalos Rigatos. But to his dismay, Daidalos Rigatos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 11th minute, Gylippus Galitsis made a precise shot to the right of Ulf Utter. Trabzonspor FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Bengt-Åke Vallmark recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute Gylippus Galitsis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Utter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Gylippus Galitsis made a precise shot to the right of Ulf Utter. Trabzonspor FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 24 minutes into the match, FC Köln's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Sandell came free, but Edvin Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Louison Anquetil put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of FC Köln:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trabzonspor FF:s goal. In the 28th minute, Daidalos Rigatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gylippus Galitsis struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Ulf Utter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Köln. 32 minutes into the match, Adrian Sandell notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FC Köln's Edvin Olsson. Edvin Olsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ulf Utter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Vallmark in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Bengt-Åke Vallmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Utter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Trabzonspor FF defense, Gylippus Galitsis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulf Utter. The Trabzonspor FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulf Utter should have stopped the shot. Trabzonspor FF's Ulf Utter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gylippus Galitsis in the 41st minute of play. After 44 minutes of play, FC Köln's Tom Riddle made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulf Utter was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 48th minute of the match, Peder Billström got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edvin Olsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ulf Utter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Vallmark in the 52nd minute of play. Trabzonspor FF's Ulf Utter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Trabzonspor FF from getting a goal against them. Ulf Utter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Åke Vallmark in the 56th minute of the match. After 58 minutes of play, FC Köln's Bengt-Åke Vallmark made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulf Utter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Trabzonspor FF's Ulf Utter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Trabzonspor FF from getting a goal against them. Bengt-Åke Vallmark could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Ulf Utter made a huge save. After some careless play in the Trabzonspor FF defense, Bengt-Åke Vallmark kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulf Utter. The Trabzonspor FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulf Utter should have stopped the shot. Edvin Olsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peder Billström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bengt-Åke Vallmark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76thth minute of the game Gylippus Galitsis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trabzonspor FF's Ulf Utter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ulf Utter came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Köln's Gylippus Galitsis. But to his dismay, Gylippus Galitsis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. The supporters of Trabzonspor FF booed when FC Köln was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gylippus Galitsis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gylippus Galitsis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Utter having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Gylippus Galitsis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-9. Ulf Utter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trabzonspor FF were furious when Ove Lidman was red carded, 96 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Trabzonspor FF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! The referee gave FC Köln a penalty, 99 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gylippus Galitsis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Trabzonspor FF's Ulf Utter. 1-10. When the match was over FC Köln could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Trabzonspor FF throughout the match.
