The audience thought a goal was coming when Flóki Ólafsson got free with Lawrence Sammut in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flóki Ólafsson in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lawrence Sammut, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ross Barber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Lund, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Carl Lund took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ross Barber. Ross Barber dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Lawrence Sammut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flóki Ólafsson in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute Flóki Ólafsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lawrence Sammut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Fomac FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rikard Smefeldt to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Jakob Alberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tekie-Taka's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakob Alberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ross Barber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lawrence Sammut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flóki Ólafsson in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Jakob Alberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Okan Yükselir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Tekie-Taka's goal looked a bit too open when Flóki Ólafsson came free, but Lawrence Sammut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lawrence Sammut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flóki Ólafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Eddie Sörman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lawrence Sammut. Eddie Sörman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 44th minute of the match, Eddie Sörman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lawrence Sammut was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

In the last second Ross Barber throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jakob Alberg in the 50thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 56th minute Fomac FK were awarded a corner. Tobias Stenström went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Tekie-Taka's Okan Yükselir got a free kick in the 59th minute. Lawrence Sammut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flóki Ólafsson in the 60th minute of play. Claes Hellgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Sammut having to interfere. The supporters of Fomac FK booed when Tekie-Taka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okan Yükselir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jakob Alberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fomac FK's Robert Hermansson was substituted for Eddie Sörman. Ross Barber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jakob Alberg in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Flóki Ólafsson notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Tekie-Taka's Lawrence Sammut. Lawrence Sammut was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd match minute, Fomac FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Hellgren to maneuver through the defense. Jakob Alberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Ross Barber when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rikard Smefeldt in the 95th minute of play forced Tekie-Taka's goalkeeper Lawrence Sammut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fomac FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
