Edvin Olsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nick Usel's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Jiří Grim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Åke Vallmark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Halkus Valkus BK getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Nicolas Tantholt hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Jonathan Sundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Köln's Edvin Olsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save FC Köln from getting a goal against them. Jiří Grim came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Köln's Bengt-Åke Vallmark. But to his dismay, Bengt-Åke Vallmark quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Edvin Olsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Usel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bengt-Åke Vallmark scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jiří Grim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half FC Köln were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daidalos Rigatos made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, FC Köln's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Spirea came free, but Edvin Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edvin Olsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Spirea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daidalos Rigatos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 60th playminute. Jiří Grim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gylippus Galitsis, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Halkus Valkus BK's Ovidiu Spirea in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Köln's goalie prevented a goal. When the match was over FC Köln could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Halkus Valkus BK throughout the match.
