After 12 played minutes IFK Vårsta got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Brun. When Gunnar Bergqvist came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Skagersvik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunnar Bergqvist couldn't finish the play. After 22 minutes of play, Skagersvik's Ingemar Billberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. A collision led to Skagersvik getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Magnus Hedvall hit a great ball. Skagersvik were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after IFK Vårsta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arvid Qvalfeldt took the corner. Skagersvik's Arvid Qvalfeldt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Balamir Yürükoğlu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 35 played minutes IFK Vårsta got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Ahlstedt. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingemar Billberg in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Balamir Yürükoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andreas Brun came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Robert Frisck could save by the left post. 41 minutes into the match, IFK Vårsta's goal looked a bit too open when Jon Täman came free, but Balamir Yürükoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Jon Täman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingemar Billberg in the 45th minute of play forced IFK Vårsta's goalkeeper Balamir Yürükoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Andreas Brun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Vårsta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 54th match minute, IFK Vårsta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Jespersson to maneuver through the defense. Gunnar Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balamir Yürükoğlu having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Gunnar Bergqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balamir Yürükoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Andreas Brun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Frisck was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Ingemar Billberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ingemar Billberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balamir Yürükoğlu having to interfere. Kåre Sundberg's late challenge caught a Skagersvik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The IFK Vårsta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Balamir Yürükoğlu should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the match, IFK Vårsta's goal looked a bit too open when Arvid Qvalfeldt came free, but Balamir Yürükoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Skagersvik's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Brun came free, but Robert Frisck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Arvid Qvalfeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skagersvik's supporters rose to their feet, but Arvid Qvalfeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Balamir Yürükoğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The IFK Vårsta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Skagersvik were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
