Spectators: 7691 (Terracing: 5769, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Kurt Bure made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 5th minute of the match FC Cucumber got a corner. Benknotorna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Björn Nilsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Hans Qvarnström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Benknotorna's Peter Lundgren did a great save. Peter Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Aulestia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberto Aulestia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Lundgren having to make a save. A collision led to Benknotorna getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ted Apelqvist hit a great ball. Peter Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Aulestia in the 16th minute of the match. Peter Lundgren came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Cucumber's Norberto Aulestia. But to his dismay, Norberto Aulestia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kurt Bure blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orvar Mikaelsson having to make a save. 24 minutes into the match, FC Cucumber's goalkeeper Orvar Mikaelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ove Pettersson. A collision led to Benknotorna getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ted Apelqvist hit a great ball. Orvar Mikaelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kurt Bure in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Carmine Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Orvar Mikaelsson managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Benknotorna's Ove Pettersson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benknotorna's Peter Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmine Bomba in the 41st minute of play. Gustav Siöberg struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Orvar Mikaelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benknotorna.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norberto Aulestia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ove Pettersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orvar Mikaelsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marc Berg during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Cucumber's Marc Berg got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenneth Majman in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Cucumber's goalkeeper Orvar Mikaelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Orvar Mikaelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Bure, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Carmine Bomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Cucumber's Orvar Mikaelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Pettersson in the 72nd minute of play. The nice shot from Carmine Bomba in the 73rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Peter Lundgren had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Orvar Mikaelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Pettersson in the 82nd minute of play. Carmine Bomba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Peter Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Cucumber's Michael Nyman was substituted for Manfred Finman. FC Cucumber's Sakarias Ryberg was substituted for Carmine Bomba. Sakarias Rybergs short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Peter Lundgren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The FC Cucumber supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Cucumber would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
