Kjell Persson hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Kjell Persson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, IFK Vårsta's goal looked a bit too open when Kaj Bengtsson came free, but Balamir Yürükoğlu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Sollebrunn IF's Kaj Bengtsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Balamir Yürükoğlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Balamir Yürükoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kaj Bengtsson in the 21st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Kaj Bengtsson sped through IFK Vårsta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Balamir Yürükoğlu. In the 26th match minute, Sollebrunn IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Åkerberg to maneuver through the defense. Kaj Bengtsson scored 0-3 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Balamir Yürükoğlu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd match minute, IFK Vårsta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Karlstedt to maneuver through the defense. Sollebrunn IF's Nicu Panaite couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for IFK Vårsta. When Kaj Bengtsson came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Sollebrunn IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaj Bengtsson couldn't finish the play. If Sten Nordstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Balamir Yürükoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaj Bengtsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes IFK Vårsta got a freekick which was hit by Malte Karlstedt. 44 minutes into the match, Sollebrunn IF's Nicu Panaite broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicu Panaite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sollebrunn IF booed when IFK Vårsta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Håkan Ahlstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sollebrunn IF's Kaj Bengtsson got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan-Ove Fagrell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Balamir Yürükoğlu made a huge save. Balamir Yürükoğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicu Panaite went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Kaj Bengtsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balamir Yürükoğlu having to interfere. Dag Säfström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Brun, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Balamir Yürükoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Bengtsson in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to IFK Vårsta getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Malte Karlstedt hit a great ball. After some careless play in the IFK Vårsta defense, Kaj Bengtsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Balamir Yürükoğlu. The IFK Vårsta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Balamir Yürükoğlu should have stopped the shot. Sollebrunn IF's Nicu Panaite got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Ove Fagrell in the 78th minute of play forced IFK Vårsta's goalkeeper Balamir Yürükoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Vårsta's zone, Jan-Ove Fagrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Balamir Yürükoğlu came out of the goal and Jan-Ove Fagrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicu Panaite got free with Balamir Yürükoğlu in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the game, Harry Esbjörnsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Vårsta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sollebrunn IF the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in IFK Vårsta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! IFK Vårsta's Balamir Yürükoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Bengtsson in the 95th minute of play. After having played for 97 minutes, Olov Sundström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sollebrunn IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olov Sundström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sollebrunn IF played a much better game than IFK Vårsta and deserved their victory. The IFK Vårsta players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
