Spectators: 7674 (Terracing: 5756, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joel Classon kicked off to start the match. After 4 played minutes Benknotorna got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Majman. Peter Lundgren made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Kenny Ekeberg sent off a good shot on target. Peter Lundgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans Norberg in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Karlsborg got a corner. Benknotorna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thor Sjöberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Karlsborg's Hans Norberg getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 16th minute, Kurt Bure left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Benknotorna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sven-Oskar Pihlwall made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Karlsborg's Viktor Beckeman. After a rather tough play, Benknotorna's Sven-Oskar Pihlwall got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute Joel Classon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Karlsborg's Hans Norberg in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Benknotorna's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Norberg in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Lundgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 30 minutes of play, Karlsborg's Kenny Ekeberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Lundgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Joel Classon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sven-Oskar Pihlwall made in the 36th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Johan Vall. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Benknotorna's goalkeeper Peter Lundgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Joel Classon fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karlsborg's protests and gave Joel Classon a yellow card for diving instead. Mattias Håkansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Bure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Hans Norberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Peter Lundgren. Hans Norberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kurt Bure stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Hans Norberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Stenman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Kurt Bure reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mattias Håkansson. The goal made the score 2-2. With a little luck, Karlsborg's Mattias Håkansson got control of the ball when Geraldo Trullols tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Anton Stenman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rdth minute of the game Geraldo Trullols who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karlsborg's Mattias Håkansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kenny Ekeberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Peter Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mattias Håkansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Majman in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Benknotorna's Geraldo Trullols got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 88 played minutes Karlsborg got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Hellkvist. A sloppy throw-in by Sven-Oskar Pihlwall in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Karlsborg's Fred Lund. Peter Lundgren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anton Stenman went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. When the referee blew the final whistle, Karlsborg could leave the field as winners, despite Benknotorna having more of the ball for most of the match.
