Arne Hultstrand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erling Abrahamsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Grusvägen AB's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Håkan Sundberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Gustavsberg's players had a chance to rest. 15 minutes into the match, Adrian Browall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arne Hultstrand. Grusvägen AB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrian Browall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Erling Abrahamsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Arne Hultstrand made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Tage Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gustavsberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Tage Gustafsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arne Hultstrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes in the game, Adrian Browall fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Arne Hultstrand having to interfere. Arne Hultstrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Browall in the 26th minute of the match. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grusvägen AB's goalkeeper Arne Hultstrand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gösta Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 35 minutes, Tage Gustafsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gustavsberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tage Gustafsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erling Abrahamsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Håkan Sundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gustavsberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Håkan Sundberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arne Hultstrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 42 minutes into the match, Grusvägen AB's goalkeeper Arne Hultstrand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tage Gustafsson. 46 minutes into the game, Gösta Berg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grusvägen AB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gustavsberg the free kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gösta Berg made a kick off. Tage Gustafsson struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Arne Hultstrand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gustavsberg. Erling Abrahamsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the game, Gustavsberg's Erling Abrahamsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arne Hultstrand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Gustavsberg's Adrian Browall got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adrian Browall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Arne Hultstrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Grusvägen AB got a freekick which was hit by Göran Gadd. Erling Abrahamsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arne Hultstrand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Cristian Santana made in the 65th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by André Aspengren. Gösta Berg kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 87 minutes Grusvägen AB's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Håkan Sundberg who took care of the corner kick. Gustavsberg's Håkan Sundberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arne Hultstrand in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Karl-Johan Forsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erling Abrahamsson took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arne Hultstrand. Arne Hultstrand dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gustavsberg fully deserved thier win.
