The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Henry Westerberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Håkan Örtendahl's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the game, Sparka & Spring BK's Dan Holmgren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henry Westerberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some careless play in the Megers Lärjungar defense, Klas Sundin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henry Westerberg. The Megers Lärjungar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henry Westerberg should have stopped the shot. If Klas Sundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Westerberg came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Sparka & Spring BK's Håkan Örtendahl. But to his dismay, Håkan Örtendahl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Henry Westerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Pacholewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Klas Sundin put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Henry Westerberg. 24 minutes into the match, Klas Sundin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henry Westerberg. Megers Lärjungar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Klas Sundin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. 27 minutes into the match, Megers Lärjungar's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Holmgren came free, but Henry Westerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes, Håkan Örtendahl made it 0-7 with a short kick to the right side. Megers Lärjungar's Henry Westerberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Håkan Örtendahl scored 0-8 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henry Westerberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Håkan Örtendahl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Westerberg was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Henry Westerberg came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Sparka & Spring BK's Klas Sundin. But to his dismay, Klas Sundin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-9.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klas Sundin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Sparka & Spring BK fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Sparka & Spring BK's Klas Sundin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Henry Westerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Håkan Örtendahl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henry Westerberg. Megers Lärjungar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Håkan Örtendahl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. 62 minutes into the game, Artur Pacholewski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Henry Westerberg. Artur Pacholewski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-12. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 0-13 when Klas Sundin sped through Megers Lärjungar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henry Westerberg. Henry Westerberg made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Klas Sundin sent off a good shot on target. Henry Westerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Holmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Sparka & Spring BK's Tor Jonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Arne Bohlin in the 70th minute of play. Harald Josefsson charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harald Josefsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Artur Pacholewski scored 0-14 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henry Westerberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Henry Westerberg was a little too slow when Håkan Örtendahl got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-15. Henry Westerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Örtendahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. A collision led to Sparka & Spring BK getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Min Abajas hit a great ball. Sven-Oskar Skålberg, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 87th minute of the match Sparka & Spring BK got a corner. Megers Lärjungar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Min Abajas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Sparka & Spring BK's Harald Josefsson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Dan Holmgren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Henry Westerberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Dan Holmgren slotted it home off the left post making it 0-16 in the 90th minute. After 95 minutes Megers Lärjungar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Min Abajas who took care of the corner kick. The Megers Lärjungar fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sparka & Spring BK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
