After 10 played minutes Gustavsberg got a freekick which was hit by Xie Sha Peng. 17 minutes into the match, Gustavsberg's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Ek came free, but Camilo Castulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Castulo was a little too slow when Edvard Martinsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 34th match minute, Östra Frölunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Martinsson to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Östra Frölunda getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Nils Nordmark hit a great ball. Sven Rolfsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Browall in the 39th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Gustavsberg got a freekick which was hit by André Aspengren. A collision led to Gustavsberg getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Håkan Sundberg hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute Edvard Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Castulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Östra Frölunda fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Östra Frölunda's Edvard Martinsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 68th match minute, Östra Frölunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Ek to maneuver through the defense. Östra Frölunda's Ingmar Kolberg was substituted for Joakim Fagerberg. Mattias Ek kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Bolander in the 72nd minute of play forced Gustavsberg's goalkeeper Camilo Castulo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 minutes of play, Östra Frölunda's Kennet Bolander made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Castulo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kennet Bolander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Camilo Castulo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Håkan Sundberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Östra Frölunda fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gustavsberg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
