When Kennet Bolander came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Östra Frölunda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kennet Bolander couldn't finish the play. If Kennet Bolander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esbjörn Källberg's late challenge caught a Östra Frölunda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esbjörn Källberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Grusvägen AB got a freekick which was hit by Esbjörn Källberg. If Jan Gerdberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arne Hultstrand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kennet Bolander went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Bolander in the 25th minute of play forced Grusvägen AB's goalkeeper Arne Hultstrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grusvägen AB's zone, Mattias Ek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Hultstrand came out of the goal and Mattias Ek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mattias Ek scored 0-5 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arne Hultstrand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Joacim Hedvall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arne Hultstrand. Grusvägen AB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joacim Hedvall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. 34 minutes into the match, Kennet Bolander notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Grusvägen AB's Arne Hultstrand. Arne Hultstrand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute Mattias Ek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Hultstrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Mattias Ek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Arne Hultstrand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arne Hultstrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kennet Bolander in the 42nd minute of the match. The Grusvägen AB players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Östra Frölunda were winning 0-8.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gösta Berg to make the kick off. If Jan Gerdberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Grusvägen AB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Hultstrand should have stopped the shot. Östra Frölunda's Jan Gerdberg got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Göran Gadd hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Mattias Ek did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-12 to the left of a surprised Arne Hultstrand 74 minutes into the match. In the 81st match minute, Östra Frölunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Gerdberg to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Mattias Ek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arne Hultstrand was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. The supporters of Östra Frölunda booed when Grusvägen AB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivar Kolberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Östra Frölunda fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Östra Frölunda's Mattias Ek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 0-15 when Mattias Ek sped through Grusvägen AB's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arne Hultstrand. The Grusvägen AB fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Östra Frölunda were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
