Jimmie Moberg came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Östers IF's Jens-Ove Magnusson. But to his dismay, Jens-Ove Magnusson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Östers IF getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alex Arenstedt hit a great ball. Herbert Valler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Blomqvist in the 12th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Djurgårdens IF got a freekick which was hit by Roy Molander. Djurgårdens IF's Jimmie Moberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 姚卫平 in the 18th minute of play. Edvard Samuelsson struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Herbert Valler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Djurgårdens IF. The supporters of Östers IF booed when Djurgårdens IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Vacker didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Jens-Ove Magnusson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Djurgårdens IF's Jimmie Moberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 姚卫平 to strike the kick off in the second half. Jens-Ove Magnussons short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Jimmie Moberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jimmie Moberg had great luck who in the 94thth minute grab hold of the ball when 姚卫平 from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jimmie Moberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 姚卫平, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Östers IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Östers IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
