The audience was convinced that Edvard Samuelsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kasım Yay was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Väino Kapsas got free with Jimmie Moberg in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Stampen IF getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Hannes Göransson hit a great ball. In the last second Jimmie Moberg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Olov Gulliksson in the 40thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Väino Kapsas struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jimmie Moberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stampen IF. Väino Kapsas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jimmie Moberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edvard Samuelsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Djurgårdens IF defense, Väino Kapsas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimmie Moberg. The Djurgårdens IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimmie Moberg should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Olov Gulliksson put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jimmie Moberg. Kasım Yay came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Djurgårdens IF's Thomas Blomqvist. But to his dismay, Thomas Blomqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 75th minute, Edvard Samuelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kasım Yay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Blomqvist in the 78th minute of the match. Olov Gulliksson succeeded in the game's 79th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. Jimmie Moberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Väino Kapsas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th match minute, Djurgårdens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig Vacker to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Olov Gulliksson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
