The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ildefonso Quico during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes Squidens IF got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Quico. When Rune Fors came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the AL ITTIHAD FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rune Fors couldn't finish the play. In the 9th minute Esbjörn Wallander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davide Parco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timmy Tunström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Davide Parco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Magnus Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Weverton Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Squidens IF defense, 白鸿鸿 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Weverton Carneiro. The Squidens IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Weverton Carneiro should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Squidens IF's Weverton Carneiro got control of the ball when Dries Mertens tried to sneak it across the goal line. Weverton Carneiro came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by AL ITTIHAD FC's Dries Mertens. But to his dismay, Dries Mertens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Weverton Carneiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by 白鸿鸿 in the 34th minute. Squidens IF's Vintilă Văleanu got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute Vintilă Văleanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davide Parco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, 白鸿鸿 notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Squidens IF's Weverton Carneiro. Weverton Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 白鸿鸿 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Weverton Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 白鸿鸿, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Squidens IF's Weverton Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dries Mertens in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Squidens IF's Jonny Clayton got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After some careless play in the Squidens IF defense, Magnus Benet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Weverton Carneiro. The Squidens IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Weverton Carneiro should have stopped the shot. AL ITTIHAD FC's Stig-Arne Haglund was substituted for Dries Mertens. Squidens IF's Jonny Clayton quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Henrik Åman, made in the 70th minute of the game. Davide Parco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vintilă Văleanu in the 77th minute of play. Stig-Arne Haglund hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Yaroslav Gladyshev hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With a little luck, AL ITTIHAD FC's Davide Parco got control of the ball when Yaroslav Gladyshev tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Squidens IF's Hubert Söderström got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Squidens IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
