In the 14th minute Braulio Pueblo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthias Sigman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, WEST SIDE INDIANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Arne Drewitz to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, WEST SIDE INDIANS's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Alvarenga came free, but Egon Wennerqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in WEST SIDE INDIANS's zone, Valdo Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egon Wennerqvist came out of the goal and Valdo Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Sven-Arne Drewitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the game, Valdo Alvarenga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rinia IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave WEST SIDE INDIANS the free kick. In the 29th minute, Valdo Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdo Alvarenga in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Egon Wennerqvist saved WEST SIDE INDIANS from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Rinia IF's Gunnar Fristedt got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Matthias Sigman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camel Yahi in the 38th minute of play. Egon Wennerqvist made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Jan-Olof Göransson sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st match minute, WEST SIDE INDIANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camel Yahi to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Vassenius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Rinia IF got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Fristedt. Egon Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Olof Göransson in the 56th minute of play. Rinia IF's Matthias Sigman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Vassenius in the 58th minute of play. Jan-Olof Göransson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Wennerqvist having to interfere. After a rather tough play, WEST SIDE INDIANS's Axel Vassenius got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Jan-Olof Göransson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rinia IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Olof Göransson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egon Wennerqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dencho Kotov kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The Rinia IF fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Rinia IF's Valdo Alvarenga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in WEST SIDE INDIANS's zone, Valdo Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egon Wennerqvist came out of the goal and Valdo Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, WEST SIDE INDIANS's Sven-Olof Dahlberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matthias Sigman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Gert Dahlgren fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored WEST SIDE INDIANS's protests and gave Gert Dahlgren a yellow card for diving instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Rinia IF were victorious despite being under pressure from WEST SIDE INDIANS for much of the match.
