In the 4th match minute, Melchester Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Fredriksson to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Melchester Rovers booed when Leksands Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claes Hamberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Sundström in the 19th minute of play forced Melchester Rovers's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Helström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Constantino Goito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Ove Helström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Melchester Rovers were awarded a corner. Tom Hedström went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Melchester Rovers's Tom Hedström to fire away a dangerous shot which Leo Bengtsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Dan Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute of the match, Karl Ahlbom tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sven-Ove Helström saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ingvar Eliasson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Bengtsson having to make a save. Dan Sundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sven-Ove Helström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Ove Helström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Sundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johannes Joensson kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Fabio Cannavaro struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Sven-Ove Helström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leksands Boys. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Tom Hedström made the kick off in the second half. Tom Hedström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Leo Bengtsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 54 played minutes Leksands Boys got a freekick which was hit by Claes Hamberg. Tom Hedström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 61 minutes, Johannes Joensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melchester Rovers and the Leksands Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leo Bengtsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Eliasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Eliasson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Leo Bengtsson made a huge save. With a little luck, Leksands Boys's Leo Bengtsson got control of the ball when Tom Hedström tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute, Ingvar Eliasson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leo Bengtsson. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 95th play minute Tom Hedström came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Leo Bengtsson. 1-3.
