Karl-Axel Simonsson succeeded in the game's 42nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-5. 46 minutes into the match, Bacardi Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Eliasson came free, but Doriva de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 51 played minutes Bacardi Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Uno Larsson. With a little luck, Bacardi Juniors's Doriva de Godoi got control of the ball when Tom Hedström tried to sneak it across the goal line. 1-6 became the score in the 53rd minute when Ingvar Eliasson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ingvar Eliasson struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Doriva de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melchester Rovers. Doriva de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Fahlgren in the 64th minute of the match. In the 70th of the match, Ingvar Eliasson tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Doriva de Godoi got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 72nd minute of the match Melchester Rovers got a corner. Bacardi Juniors's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tom Hedström ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Antero Maciel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bacardi Juniors's Doriva de Godoi did a great save. 75 minutes into the match, Melchester Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Axel Simonsson came free, but Sven-Ove Helström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bacardi Juniors's Doriva de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Eliasson in the 78th minute of play. Doriva de Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Fahlgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anderson Fahlgren in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doriva de Godoi saved Bacardi Juniors from getting behind. In the 85thth minute of the game Ingvar Eliasson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bacardi Juniors's Doriva de Godoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Bacardi Juniors's Uno Larsson got a free kick in the 87th minute. Tom Hedström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Jonatan Ståhlman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Bacardi Juniors's goalkeeper Doriva de Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom Hedström. After a rather tough play, Bacardi Juniors's Hjalmar Bocklund got a free kick in the 95th minute. Melchester Rovers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
