Spectators: 7738 (Terracing: 5805, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) Stennäs FF's Henning Lingren started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Olov Strand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Ahlbeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 12th minute, Fabian Larsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stennäs FF's Olov Strand didn't even have to move. After 14 minutes, Fabian Larsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IK Zenith and the Stennäs FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee ignored IK Zenith's protests and gave Melker Helberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes IK Zenith got a freekick which was hit by Melker Helberg. The supporters of Stennäs FF booed when IK Zenith was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Biörk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute of the match, Håkan Björklund tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nichifor Bâlea saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Viktor Ahlbeck scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olov Strand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Örjan Levander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Nichifor Bâlea made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 51 played minutes IK Zenith got a freekick which was hit by Melker Helberg. Nichifor Bâlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Levander in the 52nd minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Örjan Levander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Stennäs FF fans cheered their team off the field, for while IK Zenith had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
