With a little luck, GV 1980 Hedslund's Jan Gomola got control of the ball when Per-Olof Tunström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Eliasson hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Nils-Emil Nässén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Olof Tunströms short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Jan Gomola to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Eliasson in the 20th minute of play forced GV 1980 Hedslund's goalkeeper Jan Gomola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Hökkvist got free with Jan Gomola in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the match, Fastnet's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Emil Nässén came free, but Sören Klintæus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sören Klintæus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was a well-played corner which Joel Lundgren managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Sören Klintæus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. GV 1980 Hedslund's Jan Gomola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save GV 1980 Hedslund from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Per-Olof Tunström made the kick off in the second half. Jan Gomola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Hökkvist in the 52nd minute of the match. Jan Gomola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 78th minute Per-Olof Tunström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Gomola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Nils-Emil Nässén took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Sören Klintæus to make any attempt to save it. After 83 minutes, Alfons Gustavsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fastnet and the GV 1980 Hedslund players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, Alfons Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute Anthon Finnman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Gomola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GV 1980 Hedslund's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
