Ulf Bratt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rune Nordström went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Johan Västberg hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, GV 1980 Hedslund's Ulf Bratt threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nils-Emil Nässén, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rune Nordström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Ulf Bratt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilgot Örtendal in the 24th minute of play forced GV 1980 Hedslund's goalkeeper Jan Gomola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johan Västberg in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Gomola saved GV 1980 Hedslund from getting behind. Ulf Bratt was a little too slow when Nils-Emil Nässén got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 4-0. Rune Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulf Bratt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rune Nordström in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johan Västberg to make the kick off. Elliot Månsson scored 5-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulf Bratt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th minute Elliot Månsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Bratt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulf Bratt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Almqvist in the 65th minute of play. Lindesborg Bk's Ulf Bratt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mar Santirso in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute of the match GV 1980 Hedslund got a corner. Lindesborg Bk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rune Nordström ran over to the corner to take the kick. Johan Almqvist was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jan Gomola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Olof Boström in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute, Ernst Vestberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute Rune Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Bratt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Lundgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Lindesborg Bk booed when GV 1980 Hedslund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Emil Nässén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulf Bratt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. GV 1980 Hedslund walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
