In the 4th minute Thomas Case shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Vennerlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes STHLM södra's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Egil Österberg who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Team Falken's corner Egil Österberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Freddie Soned quite easily take care of the ball. Michael Laudrup took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Vennerlund. Joel Vennerlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Håkan Bagge in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Freddie Soned prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Håkan Bagge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Vennerlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vedad Ibišević in the 21st minute of play. STHLM södra's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sverker Axelsson in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, STHLM södra's Thomas Case sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Vennerlund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, STHLM södra's goalkeeper Freddie Soned had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olov Ekenberg. Zebastian Nyqvist hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Michael Laudrup came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the STHLM södra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Laudrup couldn't finish the play. Thomas Case recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Vennerlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vedad Ibišević in the 45th minute of play. After 47 played minutes STHLM södra got a freekick which was hit by Vedad Ibišević. Olov Ekenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Case was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th match minute, Team Falken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olov Ekenberg to maneuver through the defense. STHLM södra's Freddie Soned played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Wahlnäs in the 61st minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, STHLM södra's Thomas Case made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Vennerlund was left in no man's land by his defense there! Team Falken's Joel Vennerlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vedad Ibišević in the 72nd minute of play. Eskil Bryngelsson was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Joel Vennerlund made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Attilio Mastrangelo sent off a good shot on target. If Thomas Case had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Soned took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olov Ekenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomas Case recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over STHLM södra could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Team Falken throughout the match.
