Angel-Enrique Comizzo came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Aston Villa FC's Merrill Pryor. But to his dismay, Merrill Pryor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Berg in the 23rd minute of play forced Aston Villa FC's goalkeeper Filiph Hägg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filiph Hägg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Berg in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Alf Björk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filiph Hägg. Aston Villa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alf Björk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Forsberg got free with Angel-Enrique Comizzo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aston Villa FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Strömberg in the 31st minute. Joel Strömberg made a great header on Aston Villa FC's corner, it was just that Blue Angels's Angel-Enrique Comizzo managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alf Björk in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filiph Hägg saved Aston Villa FC from getting behind. In the 36th minute Blue Angels were awarded a corner. Aleksandar Ivanov went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Markus Berg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Filiph Hägg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38th minute Patrik Skark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiph Hägg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils-Åke Gunnarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alf Björk succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. 61 minutes into the match, Aston Villa FC's goalkeeper Filiph Hägg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrik Skark. Angel-Enrique Comizzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blue Angels made a substitution. Ted Björk replaced Johan Bangsbo. In the 95th minute, Blue Angels's Robin Söder dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4.
