Benjamin Smed took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwin Hasselqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Smed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Hasselqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Mattias Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 35 minutes, Mårten Lindqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benbrott BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mårten Lindqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jüri Ratas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Skark, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. IFK United's Benjamin Smed played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edwin Hasselqvist in the 42nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Edwin Hasselqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Smed was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 55th minute of the match, Mårten Lindqvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benjamin Smed saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Edwin Hasselqvist sped through IFK United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benjamin Smed. Benjamin Smed was a little too slow when Mattias Bergqvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-7. IFK United's Benjamin Smed proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save IFK United from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Johnny Skark managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK United's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnny Skark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jüri Ratas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Börje Kvick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jüri Ratas having to interfere. Benjamin Smed made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Edwin Hasselqvist sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans Vester during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th match minute, IFK United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Vester to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the game, Benbrott BK's Mattias Bergqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjamin Smed made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. When the final whistle sounded Benbrott BK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than IFK United.
