Joseph Vennerström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Snell in the 11th minute of the match. Zafer Hürsel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Nordin in the 14th minute of play. Mårten Benet's late challenge caught a FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mårten Benet helped the player get up and apologised. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg made a substitution. Valentin Ivarsson replaced Emanuel Emander. After 78 minutes of play, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Valentin Ivarsson made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Vennerström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valentin Ivarsson took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph Vennerström. Joseph Vennerström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. 84 minutes into the match, Lövstalöt BK's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Kjellman came free, but Joseph Vennerström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Håkan Kjellman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joseph Vennerström was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-2. After 95 minutes of play, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Valentin Ivarsson made it 9-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joseph Vennerström was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg fully deserved thier win.
