After taking down the ball on Kattvik kings's corner Reine Kinnman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zafer Hürsel quite easily take care of the ball. Jürgen Trittin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Håkan Kjellman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alvar Arvidsson was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Alvar Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Emander in the 39th minute of play. The corner led FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Peter Snell to fire away a dangerous shot which Alvar Arvidsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Emanuel Emander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Emander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Håkan Kjellman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Bratt kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Zafer Hürsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jürgen Trittin, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After some careless play in the FC Zenit Saint Petersburg defense, John Bratt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zafer Hürsel. The FC Zenit Saint Petersburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zafer Hürsel should have stopped the shot. In the 65th match minute, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Emander to maneuver through the defense. Zafer Hürsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şenel Zeval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th match minute, Kattvik kings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casper Hultin to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Ivarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kattvik kings's Alvar Arvidsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Kattvik kings from getting a goal against them. Johannes Botvidsson made a great header on FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's corner, it was just that Kattvik kings's Alvar Arvidsson managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, Kattvik kings's Alvar Arvidsson got control of the ball when Håkan Kjellman tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Peter Snell came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the FC Zenit Saint Petersburg fans jumped to their feet.
